E., 1998 See this aricle in Pubmed Article Abstract Emerging clinical trial data indicate that gabapentin, Iamotrigine and topiramate may be effective as monotherapy for seizure control. Direct comparative studies show that gabapentin and Iamotrigine offer similar efficacy but better tolerability compared with standard monotherapeutic AEDs. Topiramate has not been directly compared with other AEDs as monotherapy.
